Travertine tiles on Curaçao

Travertine tiles are the natural stone of choice for floors and walls in a tropical climate: the stone stays cool underfoot, reflects the light and ages beautifully. We supply travertine tiles on Curaçao in eleven colours, from ivory white to anthracite, each available vein-cut (straight veins) and cross-cut (clouded).

Choose honed (matte), polished (gloss) or tumbled (softened edges) finishes and the standard sizes 61 × 30.5, 61 × 40.6 and 81.2 × 40.6 cm. Popular series are held in stock on the island; the full collection arrives by container on order.

Why travertine tiles from Travertin Curaçao

  • Cool and slip-resistant

Honed or tumbled travertine heats up far less than ceramic or dark stone and keeps its grip, even with wet feet.

  • The same stone inside and out

Run your floor from living room to terrace: the same tile, the same colour, one continuous surface.

  • First quality, hand-selected

We supply first choice only: even colour, stable structure, no leftover lots.

  • Advice on WhatsApp

Send a photo of your space; we advise on colour, cut, finish and laying pattern.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about travertine tiles

Which travertine tile suits a bathroom?

For bathroom floors we recommend a honed or tumbled finish (matte, slip-resistant). On walls, polished works too. Filled travertine is the easiest to keep clean. Seal the tiles after installation; after that a pH-neutral stone soap is all you need.

What is the difference between vein-cut and cross-cut?

Vein-cut is sawn along the length of the block and shows straight, linear veins: sleek and modern. Cross-cut is sawn across the block and shows a cloudy, mottled pattern: classic and calm. It is the same stone; only the figuring differs.

Which thickness do I need?

For indoor floors and walls and for glued terraces, 1.2 cm is the standard. For terraces laid in sand-cement or heavier-duty outdoor floors we recommend 2 cm, or our 3 cm pavers.

Can I buy travertine tiles from stock on Curaçao?

Yes. Our most popular series are in our warehouse on Curaçao and usually available within days. The full collection of eleven series is ordered for you; allow 8 to 12 weeks.
